Glengarra - Designing a Strategic Presentation for a Complex Project

The Challenge: Communicating a Major Project with Clarity and Impact

Glengarra is a consulting firm specializing in the development of complex real estate projects. I was hired to support them in creating a crucial PowerPoint presentation for a major initiative: a significant real estate development project.

Given the strategic and confidential nature of the project (covered by an NDA), the presentation needed to be impeccable in every aspect. The main challenges were:

1. Lack of Visual Standards: Glengarra did not have a defined corporate PowerPoint template. It was necessary to create a visual structure from scratch that was professional, consistent with their brand, and suitable for communicating complex information clearly.
2. Content Complexity: The project involved numerous technical, financial, and strategic aspects. The presentation needed to distill this complexity into a logical and understandable narrative for a high-level audience.
3. Need for High Visual Impact: To capture attention and convey the project's importance, it was essential to go beyond standard slides by integrating powerful and modern visual elements.
4. Confidentiality Constraints (NDA): All work had to be carried out with the utmost respect for the confidentiality of the information involved.

The objective was therefore to create, from scratch, an extensive presentation (+80 slides) that would serve as a strategic communication tool, combining informational rigor, narrative clarity, and top-tier design.

The Process: A Designer's Approach to Strategic Narrative

Although it was a PowerPoint presentation, I applied my usual methodological approach, focusing on structure, clarity, and the experience of the presentation's "reader."

1. Phase 1 - Defining Structure and Narrative: I worked closely with the Glengarra team to define the presentation's objective and target audience. We outlined the narrative arc, deciding the logical sequence of topics to build a convincing and easy-to-follow discourse, despite the complexity.
2. Phase 2 - Creating the Master Template: I designed and developed a completely new and customized PowerPoint master template for Glengarra. I defined key layouts for different types of content (text, data, images), a professional color palette, hierarchical typographic styles, and elegantly integrated their logo. This ensured visual consistency across all 80+ slides.
3. Phase 3 - Data Visualization and Content Development: I collaborated with Glengarra's experts to translate complex data and concepts into clear and immediate visualizations (charts, diagrams, tables). I didn't just insert the content; I actively worked to simplify the messages and ensure each slide conveyed a precise idea effectively.
4. Phase 4 - Integration of AI-Generated Visuals: To further enhance the visual impact and illustrate abstract concepts related to the project's future development, I created and integrated several images generated using Artificial Intelligence. These custom-created images added an element of uniqueness and modernity, differentiating Glengarra's communication.

The Final Solution: A Powerful and Professional Communication Tool

The final result was an extremely polished, coherent, and strategically effective PowerPoint presentation of over 80 slides.

• Strengthened Professional Image: The new template and meticulous design provided Glengarra with a tool that reflected the high quality and professionalism of their services, reinforcing their image in front of important stakeholders.
• Clarity in Complexity: Despite the density of information, the logical narrative structure and simplified data visualizations made the complex project more accessible and understandable, facilitating the decision-making process.
• Memorable Visual Impact: The thoughtful use of design and the integration of unique visuals (including AI-generated images) made the presentation not only informative but also memorable and impactful, helping Glengarra stand out.
